The release of the highly anticipated Tamil film Mark Antony, starring Vishal and S J Suryah, is facing uncertainty as the Madras High Court has imposed a stay on its release. According to a report by Times of India, the court order comes as a result of a case filed by Lyca Productions against the film’s lead actor, Vishal.
The production house claims that Vishal has failed to pay Rs 15 crore out of the Rs 21.29 crore that he owed them. The court has directed Vishal to appear before them on September 12. With just a few days remaining before the scheduled release date of September 15, this news has come as a major setback for the film’s makers.
Mark Antony was expected to have a solo release on September 15, but now its fate hangs in the balance due to the court order. Neither Vishal nor the film’s makers have made any official statement regarding the situation. It is worth noting that the legal battle between Vishal and Lyca Productions has been ongoing for some time now, and it does not appear that a resolution will be reached anytime soon.
