Thalapathy Vijay’s son, Jason Sanjay, is all set to make his directorial debut with Lyca Productions. On August 28, the production house shared pictures of Sanjay signing the agreement with them, and the news took everyone by surprise. Sanjay had expressed his wish to become a director in the past, as revealed by his grandfather, filmmaker SA Chandrasekar.
Sanjay pursued a Film Production Diploma at the Toronto Film School from 2018 to 2020, followed by a BA (Hons) in Screenwriting in London between 2020 and 2022. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to direct his first film with a prestigious production house like Lyca Productions, which has a history of encouraging new talents in the industry.
Regarding his upcoming film, Sanjay said that they are currently in talks with emerging stars and technicians from the industry. The complete cast and details about the film’s title will be announced in the coming weeks. Subaskaran, the founder of Lyca Productions, expressed his satisfaction with Sanjay’s script and praised his understanding of screenwriting, direction, and production.
